Question #6:

why did my dog die in his sleep?

My Shepard/Collie mix was 15 years old and had has problems keeping balance especially on my tile floors which I did have rugs down but a few spots I didn't he could slip and fall.

Well anyways I found him crying about 10pm last night and he was stretched out on the floor not able to get up so I put him on the couch and try to give him his pain medication which he would not take and usually eats them like candy.

So I decided I was going to sleep with him on the couch and i would sleep on the love seat to make sure he wouldn't get up,

well right when I was dosing off I saw him try to get up and the completely lose his balance as he went back down to the floor from the couch and he hollered about 5 or 6 whelps,

So I rush to comfort him and after he settled down for a minute I went to go make a bed outta sheets in a guest bedroom that had carpet just so hopefully he couldn't hurt himself.

About the time I finished with that I went back and saw him trying to get up so I picked him up and put him on his fours which I think he had his back feet planted but just didn't seem like he could get his front paws ahead of him...

So anyways I carried him into the carpet room and put him in a makeshift bed...try to give him his pain pill again..nothing..tried to give him food, water, and even a milk bone and he didn't want any of it,

I slept with him and was up with him until about 3 in the morning and woke up at seven to find him already stiffing up but the blanket under him was still warm.

I thought I heard sometime during the early morning hours a small whiny sigh type sound. Do you think that is when he died because it kills me thinking he died in pain and just gave up the cause to live.

sorry about the spelling and grammar and thank you for reading.

Question #10:

Please correct any grammar errors!!?

There's no doubt that Morrie was a very wise and great old man. However, the story development of the book is too trite. The readers can already guess, from the beginning of the story, that Morrie is going to die after leaving his important messages. Of course they learn important and inspiring messages in the content, but the trite pattern of the story can some times bore the readers. In other words, there's little motivation that makes readers to keep on reading.
'Night' is different. It would never let me imagine what will happen next. It causes readers to keep questioning 'Is Elie's father going to die?', 'Is Elie going to die?', 'Is Elie or other Jewish going to rebel against the Nazi?', etc. To me, the most unexpected thing was that Rabi's son really abandoned his father for his own safety. I didn't expect that Jewish people are going to change so much just because of the situation they're in.

Question #11:

Question #12:

Is my grammar bad...?

Hi .

I'm 17, and although I'm English, apparently my grammar can sometimes sound bad?

In the future, I'd love to become a (broadcast) journalist. So I set up a news website using Wordpress to write stories to do with Bristol (where i live), and Technology (gadgets) because that's something I'm interested in, so i'm more likely to write about it with passion.

the site is Click Here - i'm not looking for web hits or anything, i'd just like you (please) to read a few articles - they're not really that long, but can you check the grammar please.

thank you for your time!

Question #13:

Can I have some help editing and checking grammar on my essay please?

Here is the essay I wrote and I want your opinion on how you like it. I should have a Introduction, at least 2 body paragraphs and last but not least a conclusion. Please be kindly to suggest or tell me any errors or grammar I need to fix in this essay. Thanks!

The novel teach us several different things including freedom of speech, the importance of remembering history and the role of technology in our lives. Without the books for us to read and think, we cannot imagine how horrible this world would be. Everyone would do crazy things and possibly get away with it. People would do something without thinking about it. For example, the soldiers were forced to kill the Jews without thinking or denying the idea of doing it during World War II. Most soldiers were brainwashed. Without the books in our lives, this world would be a dangerous place to live.

Everyone has the right to say anything they want because of the Freedom of Speech. The Freedom of Speech means that everyone has the right to hold opinions without interference, and shall have the right to the freedom of expression. Everyone has a different opinion and should not be forced to change their opinion. Many people have different opinions. People have the right to say anything they want and/or their opinion even though not everyone will agree with it. For example, “Fahrenheit 451 is a great book and everyone must read it.” That does not mean everyone will agree with this. It is fine for people to share their opinions and should be careful of what they say because words can hurt another person’s feelings.

It is very important for the novel to teach us what happened in the past and what we learned from it. If we don’t learn our mistake, we could repeat the same tragic event that happened in the past. It’s best to learn about the important event in history and how they influence today’s life. If people do not learn history then the same appalling event would be repeated. For example, there would be another world at war. Again, it is very important for the people to learn their mistakes in history and learn how not to repeat it.

The technology is always welcome in our world but it does have some negative aspects depending on how you use it. Doing a research and studying important things is a positive thing to do. On the other, playing too much games and using social sites too often such as Facebook belongs on the negative side. Either technology can help you in a good way or in a bad way. People should use the technology in the right way instead of doing things too often that are not important.

These messages are very appropriate and is excellent for all readers to read. Again, the novel teaches us different things and what we learn from it. If there are no books for us to read then it be a treacherous world to live in. It would be hard to find a place to live and have peace. People are lucky to learn history and how to prevent the tragic events from happening again.

Question #16:

Should we have a grammar lesson on "your" and "you're"?

I think if you're going to insult people for being stupid, you might want to not be stupid yourself.

"Your" is possessive. For example, "You need to get YOUR homework done before you watch TV".
"You're" is a contraction of you and are. For example, "You're coming to the party tomorrow, right?"
Hey, at least Education Connection Girl knows what she's talking about.

Question #18:

help me edit. check spelling, grammar, and punctuation!?

thanks ♥

Indeed, it seems like Zinczenko’s arguments are persuasive. For instance, he questions that, “Shouldn’t we know better than to eat two meals a day in fast-food restaurants?” Essentially, this is one of the main “they say” attitudes that Zinczenko is counter arguing. He then offers ample examples to back up his argument against the claim mentioned above, stating that “our country [has] more than 13,000 McDonald’s restaurants; now, drive back up the block and try to find someplace to buy a grapefruit.”
------------
my last sentence seems a bit long. how would you recommend me to revise it?

and for .......he questions that, “Shouldn’t we know better than to eat two meals a day in fast-food ...........
should "Shouldn't " be capitalized? or should i lowercase the "s"??

thanks so much!

Question #19:

check spelling, punctuation, grammar.. help edit? small paragraph. about 4 sentences.?

Since fast-food restaurants are so prevalent in America, it is often hard to find a healthy alternative. This is one of the many arguments Zinczenko uses in order to show his position against the practices of fast-food companies. Another argument that Zinczenko has against the fast-food corporations is that the consumers have lack of information about what they are consuming. But, even if some fast-food companies provide calorie information upon request, it can be difficult to understand.

i don't really like my 3rd sentence. sounds a bit awkward to me. "another argument that........"
