I would say "More power to them." It is cheaper, that person could graduate college quicker, and have first pick at the good paying jobs. In the meantime, their peers are forced to work at Taco Bell until they graduate college.Edit: If you are that close to finishing up, don't waste your time going to a traditional school. Stick to your original plan and you should do just fine. As far as documentation is concerned, keep everything that you do. If you have to, make a PowerPoint Presentation of all the work that you did, including your resume. That is exactly what I'm doing now and so far my presentation is over 95 slides long and growing. My actual career portfolio (including college projects) is over 60 pages long and growing. At 38 years old, I need all the help I can get.
Don't be like me, earn your degree and get some work experience as soon as possible. The sooner, the better. Life is too valuable to waste. Trust me. *sigh*
